Mission & Values

Our mission is to strengthen connections for children and families at home and in our communities.

We believe all children and families have a right to feel seen and valued.

We are focused and committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access for all families. Rooted in trauma informed care and relationship building. As a family and caregiver you know your child best and are your child’s first teacher. We value and encourage each family to bring their own culture and perspectives.

Joining us in a yoga class and workshop helps all of us grow in community together. The purpose of Joyful Kids and Families is to strengthen our relationship and communities through yoga, staying present, and learning together. We value are unique contributions and holding space for all of in community.

About Lexie (she/her), Joyful founder

Thank you for being here!

Joyful Kids and Family founder, Lexie, is an Early Childhood Educator and Family Advocate for 10+ years. Her education is in Social Work and Early Childhood. As well as a Seattle Kids Yoga grad! Lexie continues to find new ways to support children’s development and support all families. She believes in the value of nurturing children’s development through play and relationship building.

“My reason for creating Joyful Kids and Families is to create a strong foundation for children. Children are our future and have the power to create love, light and joy in our world. The name Joyful comes from a previous student I worked with as a toddler teacher! The children I have worked with have shaped who I am today as an educator. This is my way to give back to our communities and children.”
